Germany is Western Europe’s richest and most crowded nation, it leftovers a key associate of the continents economic, political, and security organizations. Yet however European command fight back in the two World Wars in the first half of the 20th century and absent the country engaged by the triumphant Allied powers of the US, UK, France, and the Soviet Union in 1945. Throughout the Cold War, two German states were shaped in 1949: the western Federal Republic of Germany and the eastern German Democratic Republic.
The refuse of the USSR and the ending of the Cold War allowed for German Unification in 1990. Still ever since then Germany has expended substantial funds to bring eastern productivity and wages up to western standards. Germany and 10 other EU countries formed a common European currency, called the euro.
